Located on the top floor of an Art Deco office tower in midtown Manhattan, this interior renovation was to serve as the new headquarters of Mobilemetrics, a telecommunication marketing company with branches in Finland and Japan. Since the firm’s main product is a virtual interface, the offices were to convey an image of technology and transparency. The organization of the workflow within the company implied that employees would move between work areas depending on their need for privacy or communication, rather than be assigned to a fixed workstation. The layout was thus divided into a zone of continuous work tables with maximum openness and flexibility and an area of convertible translucent rooms for private meetings and concentrated work.

The translucent wall panels can be used as whiteboards for meetings and notes, adding a layer of playfulness and texture to the work environment. Custom-built Stainless steel tables and translucent dividers further enhance the luminosity of the space.

A 30 feet long curved furniture object made of black stained wood and stainless steel divides the public and internal areas of the floor and contains the front desk, a waiting bench, copier and printers, the coat storage and a file server closet. A condensed interface between architecture and furniture, this object invites to be touched and occupied, felt rather than being looked at.
