The combination of two apartments in this Upper West Side building provided the unique envelope for this 2,000-sqf residence. Owned by a young couple with a small child and a hectic social schedule, the space was to serve both as a sophisticated expandable living quarters and a safe playground.

The ornamented enclosing space of both apartments was restored into the original state and a multipurpose room was created. The media room can become part of the main space o separated by a pocket door, function as a third bedroom. A custom-designed Stained oak and stainless steel kitchen becomes the new center of activity on the main room whereas two bathrooms of slate, mosaic and glass create precious hidden rooms for retreat.
